Hi i have very weird problem with the plugin and the list shortcode

First of all i can’t use fa icons, i tried several times and always get a black circle with an arrow, inside a blue box.

i change to just a “check”and its works but still inside a blue box.

How can i get rid of the blue box.

    This is the code:
    [ac-list style=”check”]

    • Realizar servicios de I+D+i para empresas externas a GH.

    [/ac-list]

    This is the result:

    Hi Rafas,

Thank you for using my plugin and I apologize for the trouble you’re having. You’ve done everything correctly, but unfortunately your problem is a relatively common one. As a plugin developer I only have so much control over how my plugin’s styles apply on any given site. With the number of themes and other plugins out there it’s common to see conflicts. That’s what we have with your situation, however it’s far worse than I’m used to seeing.

If you’re not super familiar with CSS, there’s a component of it called specificity. You can Google it if you’d like to get a more formal explanation, but in a nutshell it’s a way for browsers to determine the priority of styles to apply to an element. Higher priority selectors are given greater preference whenever there’s a conflict.

In the case of your theme, the styles for common elements (like unordered lists) are set up unnecessarily specifically, which is causing issues when plugins like mine attempt to apply our own styles. In my opinion your theme is improperly coded and you should ask WPLAB to fix their product.

Please let me know if I can offer any additional assistance.

FYI I did tweet to WPLAB and referred them to this thread. Hopefully they’ll see and offer you some assistance.
