• One tap login works fine. However If I add Log in with Google button short code to page where users are supposed to log in or register I get the following error:
“Could not retrieve the access token, please try again.”
If I go to wp-login.php page and click on Log in with google I also get the same error….

Anyone else had this same problem? I am confused since one tap login works when it pops up in the corner and it works with already pre registered google accounts and with new ones, so one tap wise all functionality is working as is, however with login button it doesn’t…

P.S. PHP version of site is 8.3 and WordPress version is 6.8.2

    Hi @rytiskat ,

Thanks so much for your patience. I realize it’s been a little while since you first shared this, and I really appreciate you waiting.

I tested the Log in with Google plugin but wasn’t able to replicate the issue both the One Tap login and the login button worked as expected during my test.

To help us investigate this further, could you please share a few additional details?

    • A screenshot of where you see the error message
    • The page URL or location where you’ve added the login shortcode.
    • How you’ve added the shortcode, for example, directly in the block editor, inside a widget, or through a theme template.

These details will help us narrow down what might be happening differently in your setup.

Looking forward to your reply so we can troubleshoot this together.
