Issue with NextGEN Gallery plugin

Hi,

When I activate this plugin, I get a script error with NextGen Gallery (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/nextgen-gallery/) which stops me to add a new gallery on a page or to modify one :
I could open the NextGen modal window (with the green square on the editor) but I can’t close it when I click on the save button.

The error is :
“Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token <“
On the file “nextgen-attach_to_post”

In fact, it blocks on the doctype definition of the iframe.

What could it be ?

I posted the same issue on the NextGen Gallery support page.

Hello,

Did you check the options of the plugin? You can disable the retina plugin in the admin. Try it, it might be the solution 🙂

Yes, I checked the options.
I have the issue when the “enable retina in the admin” option isn’t checked.
If I activate the option it’s even worse, like you wrote “Some plugins (like NextGen) do not like Retina enabled in the admin.” 🙂

It should be a more complex interaction between others plugins I have…

Following @jordy’s advice (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/issue-with-wp-retina-2x-plugin?replies=6#post-6404002), changing method to Retina.js do the trick, it works 🙂
FYI, I tried the Picturefill method without loading the Picturefill script but it doesn’t work.

Yes, the PictureFill script is not the problem here… the problem comes from my HTML rewriting for the PictureFill. It seems it is still active even though the checkbox (no retina) is un-checked. I really have do do something about this. Thanks for raising the issue and giving me more explanation.
