Issue with “Pray” feature

I am seeing something with this plugin that seems quirky. When testing the “Pray” button, if I am logged in the back end as a user, I can click on the Pray button of a prayer request, and it changes the prayer count. If I refresh the page, the count remains the same. If I am not logged into the back end, I can click on the pray button, and the count changes. If I refresh the page, the count reverts so it doesn’t keep anything that I do while I am not logged in. Is this standard for this plugin? What is happening here.
