    Hi, I am having issues with some products loading within the merchant centre.

    I have got these errors and I think it is down to my store having images within the product descriptions. Also, my descriptions are very long for some products.

    Is there a way to remove images and shorten the text automatically?

    Hi,

    Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

    When you change the field mapping for your description to the “Unfiltered product description” it will be truncated on 5000 characters.

    Yes, that should be fine. So when you manually reprocess your feed now the long descriptions will be truncated on 5000 characters.

    Is there a way to do this for the product titles as well? I noticed the variable products are pulling the variables onto the titles and making the titles really long.

    They seem to pull through all of the variant options into the title.

    Yes that is being done because most marketing channels want the product names to be unique. If thats not what you want you can use the “Product name parent product” attribute for mapping.

    Just use the product name of the parent variable product without adding the attribute values to it.
