• Hi,

I am working on a site with three languages and I use the qTranslate plugin.
I can customize the Cookie Law message with the qTranslate QuickTags correctly, but it seems that something overwrite the settings and put the message in only one language…

    Message’s setting example:
    [:it]Italian message.[cookie_button] [cookie_link]
    [:en]English message.[cookie_button] [cookie_link]
    [:de]Deutsch message.[cookie_button] [cookie_link]

Visit the website in italian -> Message is in italian -> All OK
Visit the website in english -> Message is in english -> All OK
Visit the website in italian again -> Message is in english ->FAIL

It’s not a cache problem. If I come back to the setting’s page, all shortcodes are disappear and there is only the english message….

Has anyone had the same problem?

Thank you very much for the support.

  • Hi,

I don’t use qTranslate and it’s not something I officially support but if I get a chance I’ll take a look- I have a few projects I’m working on right now so it might be a week or so though, sorry.

I suspect the plugin is deliberately filtering out the “[:it]” (etc) parts in the sanitise routine. That’s where I’ll look first. If you’re a developer then take a look in there and maybe you’ll get to the answer before me! Please post an update here if you do find a solution.

    All the best

    Hello, i have similar problem.

In Italian the bar in footer show properly but in English simply there isn’t. I use latest version of qtranslate-x plugin.
    Someone has a solution?

I tried the setting example by Master FO but the message will show only in Italian (set as primary language in my blog http://www.digitalking.it)

    Thanks

ok seems working partially, i mean the message is ok using the qtranslate tags but not in customise button section:

i mean in Link text if i put [:it]Accetta[:en]Accept[:] it always show the button in Italian.
