Recurring Events – Booking Function Disappearing on Future Events
-
Hi EventPrime team,
I’m running into an issue with recurring events where the booking functionality disappears on some future events but remains available on others. This seems to be happening mostly with the more popular classes, so I’m wondering if it might be related to ticket availability, but I’m not 100% sure.
Here’s my process:
- I create a template for dance courses and set it to repeat weekly on the same day for several weeks.
- Under Booking Options, I select:
- “Turn bookings on”
- “Allow booking modification until a relative date (1 day before)”
- “Allow cancellations”
- Under Tickets, I create:
- A ticket category with a capacity of 25
- A ticket type that also has a capacity of 25
- I then set the event to repeat once a week on the same day.
I’ve noticed that some future events in the series suddenly don’t have the option to book tickets anymore. This issue seems to affect the more popular classes, which makes me wonder if it’s happening because previous events are selling out and not resetting ticket availability for the next occurrence—but I haven’t been able to monitor it closely enough to confirm.
If this is the case, is there a way to refresh ticket availability for upcoming events so they don’t remain “sold out” from previous instances? Or is there a setting I can enable to prevent this from happening?
I’d really appreciate any insight into why this is happening and if there’s a way to fix it without manually recreating each event.
Thanks in advance for your help!
