Issue with restricting wp-admin and wp-login.php

Hi there guys, I have a problem that I can’t figure out how to solve. I have new wp-admin route that I have changed from your plugin and I have restricted the wp-login.php and everything works like a charm. When I try to open them through the URL I am immediately redirected to 404 page, which is the behaviour that I am expecting. So far, so good. But then when I go to my custom route to login and I add my credentials to the login form, I am logged in again, nothing strange. When I logout after that and try to open wp-admin I have access to it, which is strange since I got 404 before I logged in. Any ideas what can cause this. I have nothing in my .htaccess that can cause this.
