Issue with Search Functionality

Hello! We are having an issue with our search functionality. When CleanTalk is enabled, our SearchWP plugin does not work.

We reached out to SearchWP’s support and they reported the following:

We tested the search on your site and found that there was a Javascript error on the page due to which search form was not being submitted.
This error is being caused by Anti-Spam by CleanTalk plugin.
Please disable this plugin and test the search again to see if it fixes your issue.

When we deactivate the CleanTalk plugin, our searches work, which is how the site is currently. We would love to continue using your plugin. Are you able to help with our issue?

We tested SearchWP Live Ajax Search in our environment and did not encounter any errors.

We need additional details about your website.
Please contact us via our private Ticket System and add there a link to this topic: https://cleantalk.org/my/support/open.

During the investigation, try activating our plugin and disabling the protection of search forms: WordPress Admin Page → Settings → Anti-Spam by CleanTalk → Advanced settings → set the “Test default WordPress search form for spam” option to “Off” → Save Changes.

I submitted the ticket per your instructions. However, I turned off the setting you requested, and the search functionality works now! 😀
