    Dear Support Team,

After updating to Directorist, the parameters in the shortcode are no longer working, defaulting to standard behavior. For example:

    1. [directorist_all_listing view=”map” advanced_filter=”no” header=”no” directory_type=”park-card” location=””]
    2. [directorist_all_listing view=”grid” advanced_filter=”no” header=”no” featured_only=”no” ids=”” listings_per_page=”9″ directory_type=”park-card” orderby=”date” order=”asc”]

Parameters like header, filter, featured_only, location, ids, and listings_per_page are ignored. Everything worked perfectly before the update, but now the plugin feels more restrictive. Could you clarify:

    1. Why are these parameters no longer supported?
    2. How can I restore the previous functionality?

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Dear Support Team,

I’m confused with the outdated documentation (still referencing v7) for Directorist 8.0. I had to search through support tickets (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/listing-shortcode-2/) to learn about new default shortcode parameters like sidebar=”no_sidebar”.

    Additionally, I need help with:

    1. Listing Submission Layout: How can I keep the submission form in a single-column layout without custom code? The lack of a proper element builder makes this challenging.
    2. CSS Selectors: Some CSS selectors changed in v8.0, requiring me to check ~1000 lines of custom CSS. Why weren’t these changes documented?
    3. Popular Listings Widget: The widget’s design is now unusable, forcing me to consider building a custom one to restore my previous styling. Why was this changed so drastically?
    4. Recent Listings Feature: Is there a feature or shortcode to display recently viewed listings? If not, are you planning to add one?
    5. Backend Customizer/Builder: The current Directory Builder lacks essential design controls. Are you planning to introduce a more robust backend customizer to manage key design aspects like responsive font sizes (desktop, tablet, mobile), font styles and colors, element border styles (e.g., rounded), backgrounds, advanced button styles, dashboard elements, add listing form styles, and listing card styles (borders, colors, backgrounds, etc.)? All this can only be done with CSS and without the guarantee of a definitive solution.

The outdated documentation and lack of a robust builder are forcing users to rely heavily on custom code. Please provide clear solutions to these issues.

    Hello @fedeflooro

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns.

We have carefully tested all the shortcode parameters you mentioned. Currently, only the advanced_filter parameter is not working as expected. This is because we have introduced a new setting in the admin panel to control the filter display. You can find these options here: https://prnt.sc/YOgXSOmBwUKU. We recommend checking them out—they may help you achieve the layout you’re looking for.

We also want to let you know that new parameters like sidebar="no_sidebar" have been introduced in version 8, but we haven’t added them to the official documentation yet. We are actively working on this and plan to release a full list of supported shortcode parameters very soon.

Additionally, we are planning to introduce more shortcode options so users can control features more flexibly on a per-shortcode basis.

Thank you again for your valuable feedback, and we truly appreciate your patience as we continue improving Directorist.

    Regards,

    Hi @fedeflooro

Thank you for highlighting the other issues regarding the listing submission layout, CSS selectors, listing widgets, and more.

We understand your frustration. When we introduced version 8, some architectural changes caused these unexpected issues. We’re aware that these changes affected things like layout control, CSS behavior, and widget styling.

To provide you with the best possible assistance, we recommend creating a support ticket (https://prnt.sc/cKSW-z2RTXrs). Our team will review your website setup and help resolve these issues. If necessary, we’ll also provide custom code solutions tailored to your needs.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to improve the platform.

    Regards
