Issue with special characters

    I found an issue with special characters like the German ä, ü, ö. These characters are not properly transferred/executed. In the setting window they are displayed correctly but after execution by the functions.php the characters are corrupted. If I insert the original code back into the functions.php file everything works perfectly.
