    Hello,

I am trying to import a csv file (with all the details last name name email password …) but I had 2 issues when importing:

    – first, it has send an email to all the people I was trying to import, which is not what I wanted, how can I desactivate this option?
    – secondly, I have a column table whith all the passwords, but after importation, if I try to connect as an user, I have an error message saying it’s not the good password, which is weird because it’s the one in the file normally. Is it a problem with the original csv file (I rename the cell titles according to your tutorial with the name “password”)

Can you help on this ?

    Good morning,

    Step by step:

    • You have to deactivate the email prepared by the plugin (in import tab) and also the one generated by WordPress (in email options tab)
    • If you are using “Password” tab the password should work unless something in your site changes it (some security plugins may do it)

Hello Javier, thanks for your quick answer !

I have been looking for this option in the import tab and it’s already desactivated (bothe options are unchecked) as you can see here : https://ibb.co/rSW3td5 maybe I did something wrong to start with ?

For the Password, I will try again and import a new file, but first I really want to make sure that the plugin isn’t sending email to everybody as it’s a staging website and not in production.

    Best regards

Did you see also the default WordPress emails? Those can be deactivated in email options tab.

    Javier,

it was my mistake for the passwords as I kept the user_pass column instaed of Password, I have tried to import one contact and it is fine.

But again, an email has been sent and I don’t know where I can desactivate it. Any idea ? Here is the example of what I recieved:

Object: Welcome to (Name of the site)

    Body:

    (Name of the site)

Thank you for signing up! Your account is now active.

    Button (connect to the site)

This is not a email from my plugin and this is not the standard from WP so you should find which plugin is sending this email and deactivate it.

    Thanks Javier!
