    hi

    there is an issue with the plugin, this is what happens

    1) you have an existing product in woocommerce

    2) duplicate item

    3) edit item to change to new item

    4) tweet item when publishing

    5) the original pre copy item is tweeted rather than the new item

    when duplicating the product it should clear any previous tweets and shortlinks associated with the item to stop this happening

    I am not using a cache

    This is a problem in the duplicate item process. WooCommerce duplicates all meta data, including the Tweet data.

    There’s a plug-in called ‘Duplicate Post’ which does a similar thing, but that plug-in has the ability to filter specific custom fields so that they are not duplicated; does WooCommerce have any similar option?

    Then there’s really nothing I can do about it unless I can identify a filter in WooCommerce that I can hook to to strip meta data from the duplicate item process.

    I recommend asking the WooCommerce developers for help with this; I don’t know the plug-in at all; if there’s a simple way to do this, they’ll know it right away — for me, it’s an unknown amount of time researching in the WooCommerce plug-in.
