    Hello LiteSpeed Cache Support Team,

I am experiencing issues with WebP image serving on my WordPress website. Despite following the setup process and properly configuring the plugin, WebP images are still not being served as expected.

So, here’s the description of the things i’ve checked and tried:

    • WebP files are being generated by the LiteSpeed Cache plugin and are present in the /wp-content/uploads/ folder.
    • The plugin settings have been configured as follows:
      • “Next-Gen Image Format” is set to WebP (ON).
      • “WebP/AVIF for Extra srcset” is enabled.
      • “Use Optimized Files” option has been selected.
    • I have used the Soft Reset Optimization Counter and re-scanned & optimized images successfully.
    • Cache has been purged multiple times.
    • The .htaccess file has been updated to include the WebP serving rules. https://prnt.sc/o3qp07GwIl1-

    Testing Results:

    • Testing with Chrome DevTools shows that images are being served as image/jpeg or image/png, not as image/webp.
    • Right-clicking images and opening them in a new tab also shows them as .jpg or .png.
    • The server supports WebP, because i’ve manually uploaded WebP files before.

    Additional Information:

    • I am using Divi Child Theme for the website.
    • The server uses LiteSpeed and .htaccess rules are allowed.

Could you please assist me in resolving this issue? Are there any additional configurations I should apply, or could there be a problem with the way the plugin is handling WebP delivery?

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

    Best regards,
    Antonyia
