• Hi There,
I am facing this issue with a few blog posts on our website. These posts were published around 4-5 years back. These posts suddenly started showing MS office styling attributes, since the content was copied from MS Word. But this wasn’t the case right from the start We observed this a few weeks back.
I just need help to debug the issue. What could have possibly happened to these posts, Is it some setting that changed? WP configuration I am missing? plugins?
I am ready to share info regarding this issue. Please let me know in case you need that.
    WP version: 4.5.3
    Parent Theme: Cherry framework
    Child Theme: Theme51770
    PHP version: 5.6.38

The span tags that were created by pasting from Word appear to be broken now.

Did you install any plugins lately? Does “qed” ring a bell?

<span style="font-size: <a href=" javascript:void()"="" class="qed_stt_tslink" data-stt-time="12.0">12.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Ross has released its essay questions for 2013-2014. Instead of five questions from last year, this year’s applicants will be answering four questions, and instead of 1700 words, they now have only 1250 words to present their candidacy. Ross has eliminated last year’s question about ‘passion’ because they say they did not get the desired response from the candidates last year. The first and the fourth question remain unchanged from last year.</span>

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for JUST you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site. You can then use its admin bar menu to turn on/off plugins and themes one at a time. See https://make.ww.wp.xz.cn/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/ or https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/ for more information.
