Issues new version 3.08, missing feutures

    I have got a huge problem. I have already try to write an email and haven’t got any response.

    We are finishing a customers website and had the last version of aam installed + the plus package. We chose this because it was one of the only solutions that offered control over the access, as stated on the description site, over custom pages, and taxonomies, and categories.
    That was the main purpose we bought this. There used to be a filter Icon that was clickable to select these options.
    But now, there is no more way to select categories. The taxonomie for pages are created and I can create categories. But in the aam there is no way to set access control to them. It worked in the old version, but now this is gone.
    This is a huge issue, since we based things on this and now that’s all gone?
    It’s not an option to go a version back due to the fact that a not updatable plugin is useless and risky.
    Please tell me if all of this has been removed. On the Instructions site of the aam plus package there are still the old docs, that tell how to do it, but sadly the new version is different and the options are missing. This has become useless for me now…

    2. Is that I have also purchased the media access control addon/plugin. And that is completely removed now !? We never got to use it since the site is still in development….

    Hi Oliver,

    Actually we put a lot of work to improve the access control over posts and categories. The new UI is totally different that is why you probably was not able to find out how.

    So technically all categories and posts are listed under the Posts & Pages tab. By default you see the list of all defined post types (Posts, Pages, Media etc). Click on the Posts (it is a link) and the table will load you list of all categories and posts that belong to this post type.

    Use the license key for AAM Plus Package to obtain the newest version.

    AAM Media Manager was quite an experimental extension and caused more issues than we expected just because a lot of our customers did not fully understand the WordPress core. But we might developer a better one in the near future.
