    Hello!

I added support for Event Calendar Newsletter pretty soon after the beta started, but it seems in the latest version that there’s some kind of internal caching happening, or something modifying queries being run. The preview, test email and what’s actually sent can be different depending on whether you preview before sending a test email (for example).

Has some kind of either cache of the newsletter output or something to modify queries that happen in a custom MailPoet shortcode (using the mailpoet_newsletter_shortcode filter)?

    Thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Brian,

The last 2 releases modified the plugin’s initialization behavior. We now initialize the plugin on the init hook vs. a combination of plugins_loaded and init. Could you please try using rc.1.0.3 and let us know if you’re still experiencing the issue?

    Hello!

That’s correct – one user had 1.0.3 and everything worked fine.

Possible to switch the initialization back to how it was before? It seems to be messing with the queries being made to fetch any other data to render the newsletter.

    Brian,

We’d like to replicate the issue first and then see what’s the best way to resolve it. Could you please help us? Get in touch with us directly by using the ? icon on any of the plugin pages. We’ll either need access to the site where there is an issue or detailed instructions (+ your custom shortcode) to reproduce it.

    Thanks!

I’ve asked one user to follow up as they have a better example of the errors (showing different results between preview, test email and actual send – plus some errors loading files in the MailPoet editor). They reverted back to 1.0.3 and all is well for now.

    Thanks!

    That user is me 🙂
We reverted back and all was ok
Now we installed 3.0.0-rc.2.0.2 and the shortcake is ok.
    However, we still get messages:
Failed to load plugin: mailpoet_shortcodes from url https://johannesdedoper.net/wp-content/plugins/mailpoet%205/assets/js/lib/tinymce/plugins/mailpoet_shortcodes/plugin.min.js

    regards,
    Frans
