I used the free version just for testing before buying, but I encountered the following errors after import finished:

1 – PS def lang is set to FRA, WP (wpml) def lang is set to FRA, despite that it imports all catgogies/products associating them with the DEU lang

2 – it creates all categories under a parent category named “Accueil” that does not exist in PS

3 – most of the images have a black backgroude color, the originals have a white backgroude color

1. The free version imports only the default language defined in PrestaShop by PS_LANG_DEFAULT in the configuration table. By default, it uses the first language. To import all the languages, you need:
  – the Premium version https://www.fredericgilles.net/fg-prestashop-to-woocommerce/
  – and the Internationalization add-on https://www.fredericgilles.net/fg-prestashop-to-woocommerce/internationalization/
2. Please check in the PrestaShop database. Perhaps there is a category named “Accueil”.
3. A user already pointed out this issue. It doesn’t come from WordPress, nor from the plugin. It comes from ImageMagick. You should deactivate the ImageMagick module on your server.

1 – PS_LANG_DEFAULT is set to FRA and the plugin correctly import FRA lang text for categories/products, but then associated them with German (DEU) lang on WP side, this is something wrong I think! in WP the default lang is FRA also, there are also ITA and ENG, but the plugin associate all to DEU lang, why?

2 – there is no Accueil, but actually all categories are under a Home category, but is not a category created by user, I think is just something related to PS category management, I think the plugin have to ignore this, is’n it?

1. To be able to investigate on this issue, please open a ticket on https://www.fredericgilles.net/support/ and provide all the necessary information.
2. Even if it is not created by a user, it is a category set in PrestaShop. So it will be imported. If you don’t want it, you just have to delete it in the Product categories screen. It won’t delete its subcategories.

3 – regarding the ImageMagick deactivation, you mean the imagick PHP module?

I disabled ImageMagick but still i have the same problem, product/category images have black background
how can it be solved?
