    Hi,

    we just found out, that products do not longer sync their categories with Zettle. New products are imported without category at all, changing categories does not have any effect.

    It might be (although difficult to confidentially say retrospectively) that people in the store moved some products into different categories on Zettle side, but I would have expected that this got overwritten with the next update.

    Right now, the product / category assignments in Zettle are a mess – at least for new products and products with changed categories.

    I now manually assigned the products to the right categories in Zettle to at least ease the pain for the store staff.

    How can we fix this?

    Thanks for your question.

    Our plugin does not contain the functionality to synchronize the category. We do have a feature request open for adding this, but currently it is not part of the functionalities of our plugin. Just to be, the current release of our plugin contains the following sync features:

    • Product name – Only from WC to Zettle.
    • Product Price – Only from WC to Zettle.
    • Stock – synchronizes in both directions
    • SKU – Only from WC to Zettle.
    • Barcode – Only from WC to Zettle.

    There is not much more we can do for this situation. I am sure the Zettle library was adjusted manually by the store owner or another admin, so I would suggest doing the same if that is required.

    thanks for your feedback – wasn’t it part of the plugin some time ago?

    No, we would not remove such a feature. We do have it in the backlog to add at some point.
