issues with unread feature

    I implemented the “unread” option recently. I’ve noticed that some topics, not matter what I do, still show as unread. I’ve opened the topic, marked that specific forum area as read, etc – but some topics still show as “unread.”

    I thought it might be a cache or image lazy load issue (litespeed cache) but when disabling cache and lazy load, unread issue still occurs.

    Strangely, I’ve noticed that when a topic refused to show as “read,” it’s always the first topic in a forum which isn’t a sticky topic.

    Any suggestions on how to get this resolved? Thanks for any help.

    Sorry Andrew – I cannot replicate this in testing. Is this every 1st topic under a sticky or just some ?

    It’s just an occasional first topic under a sticky.

    that would explain why I can’t replicate it.

    If you can get to a ‘do this and that happens’ – I’ll take another look

    If it helps, it’s always the first topic in forum list, right below the sticky, which refuses to show as “read.” This is so even as new topics are being created in the forum.

    Out of 15 forums, this is happening on 2 of our forums.
