    Hi,

I have several issues with the migration of my WordPress blog.

First issue is I am unable to import my content. Even after increasing the max execution time and max input time. I have tried to split the xml file with WXR split by Ranger Pretzel but it says that my file is 0 MB…Anyway, I can see that everytime I try to import it via the WordPress plugin, I am getting more photos in my media gallery but no blog content or pages. So for now, the content on my site is mostly the one from a demo theme.

Second issue is when I was on WordPress.com, I had two domains with http://www.therainbird.com.au being the main domain. I only transferred the secondary domain being http://www.therainbirdphotography.com as that’s the only one I want to keep for the SSL certificate. Now Google has indexed all my pages under http://www.therainbird.com.au so it does not link anything to http://www.therainbirdphotography.com. What is my next step? I have the .com.au domain for another year if this helps keeping my SEO.

Many thanks for your help 🙂
    Celine

Hello, Celine, & welcome. In terms of importing your content, you should check w/your host to see if shell access is supported, & then use wp-cli.
