    Hi all!!

After installing the plugin, I am no more able to login in the admin panel!!

This is the error I receive when I try to login…

Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init() in /home/mhd-01/www.calcioargentino.com/htdocs/cawp/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-mobile-pack/core/class-admin.php on line 41

How can I take back my website?!?!?!?!
    What went wrong?

Thank You for a quick answer…

FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) & delete the wp-content/plugins/wordpress-mobile-pack folder.

    Ok, I did it and now it’s working… Thanks a lot!! πŸ™‚

But which is the problem? Why I am not able to use the plugin on my website?

Looks like there’s an issue in the plugin itself.

    I tried again…

    During the unpack it says

Unable to copy the file. wordpress-mobile-pack/themes/base/includes/app.js
    Installation aborted…

It seems that it has problem to install when you have a personalized theme as I do…

The curl_init() error refers to a function that should be part of the PHP installation and your server seems to be missing that package. Can you tell us what PHP version do you have on your server?

Regarding the second problem – “Unable to copy the file. wordpress-mobile-pack/themes/base/includes/app.js”, are you uploading the files using an FTP client? There’s really nothing special about that file that should prevent it from being copied.

My host server uses the PHP Version 5.3.3-7+squeeze14

    I know that it has nothing special but that’s what it happens… I don’t know why… πŸ™

I tried for the 3rd time… it looked like it was ok, it asked me the FTP passwords then it said “unable to create the directory” and crashed…

    No way… πŸ™

The curl extension should be enabled by default on PHP 5.3.3, however it can be disabled by a server admin if he or she chooses to do so.

The “unable to create the directory” error is related to another problem – the plugin files can’t be copied correctly for some reason.

If the installation failed, I would first make sure that the “wordpress-mobile-pack” folder was deleted completely from “wp-content/plugins”, then unzip the files and upload them again via a FTP client. If the “wordpress-mobile-pack” folder exists in “wp-content/plugins” and was copied correctly, the plugin will show in your admin panel in the Plugins section and you just have to activate it.

Please be aware that if the curl extension doesn’t exists, it will still show the “curl_init” error even if the installation was successful. Unfortunately to fix that problem we’ll have to make an update in the plugin itself (and we will).

The first time I made the installation via FTP and I had the “curl_init” error while trying to activate the plugin.

All the other errors came trying to upload and unzip it directly from WordPress (but this seems to give several problems, don’t know why)…

I will wait the next version, hope You will be able to fix the “curl_init” problem…

    Thank You!!

We will surely come back with a reply when the new version is available. It will be done in a matter of days, since other people might face the same issue we want to fix it as soon as possible. Thank you for letting us know about it. πŸ™‚

We just uploaded v2.0.1 that solves the problem with the curl library. You can check the Change Log for the full list of updates.
