Hey Dion, I’m in the same boat too (with GoDaddy)…
Any chance of getting a previous version?
The plugin is awesome and I use it weekly at least! This is going to KILL me!… I don’t know of any other way I can upload podcasts…
Help?…

Plugins hosted on ww.wp.xz.cn should only be downloaded from ww.wp.xz.cn. Please do not link to plugins hosted on anonymous 3rd party services.
Previous versions of plugins should be available via the ‘developers’ tab of the plugin page.
For this plugin: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/add-from-server/developers/
Thank you – thank you – thank you!!!!!!
I see where 3.2.0.2 is the last one before the PHP 5.4 requirement.
I’ll dispatch a note to GoDaddy asking them to upgrade later today; if they will?…
It is unlikely that they will listen to you. If GoDaddy listen, write here please.
GoDaddy allows you to select the version of PHP from your hosting control panel from memory. They don’t actively support PHP 5.2 anymore, only have it enabled for those users who specifically selected it years ago.
If you have a issue with GoDaddy not supporting PHP 5.2, or not being willing to switch your account over, please let me know and I’ll follow up with them myself.
Hi! I tried to update the php from 5.2 to 5.4 at Godaddy Control panel and noticed that there is not working php zend optimizer and other my scripts do not work as it should. So I can not yet switched to php 5.4
@alexander70 Zend Optimizer was deprecated by Zend and never updated for PHP 5.3 or later.
You should be able to use Zend Guard Loader instead (I believe) which I believe GoDaddy does support (If you also disable APC) https://www.godaddy.com/help/using-zend-guard-loader-6893
It all depends on what features you’re using of the scripts though, if you’re using the encrypted PHP support, then IIRC there’s no upgrade path forward and you’ll forever be stuck on a platform that hasn’t received security updates for almost 5 years now. WordPress will cease to support those older versions of PHP at some point too, so I’d strongly suggest talking to your host to work out if there’s a way forward for you.
Thank you for the information, I will look for solution.
Hi! If I have a php file encoded by php zend optimizer, can be done to this file operated with zend guard?
@alexander70 Unfortunately I have no idea about it, other than that Optimizer is dead and Zend Guard is the replacement.
Programmers script that I use on the site, encoded file in Zend Guard and handed over to me, but it looks like Godaddy has a problem with Zend Guard

I think if a new version of wordpress works for php 5.2, then all the plugins should work as well as wordpress. Good luck!
@alexander70 Yes, You need to configure Zend Guard, see the previous link I posted: https://www.godaddy.com/help/using-zend-guard-loader-6893
WordPress currently supports PHP 5.2 for a bit longer, Add From Server no longer does. Many plugins are choosing not to support the old versions, and that’s OK.
