Hey there Martinhca,
Thanks for posting! The plugin sign up form will utilize the double opt-in signup process. This means that when an email address signs up through the form, they’ll first be sent an opt-in confirmation email. Once they click on the confirmation link in this email, they’ll then be added to the MailChimp list.
Can you confirm that an opt-in confirmation email was not received by the email address that was used to signup?
Because of the double opt-in process, an email address is not added to a list until they’ve clicked the confirmation link. That means that if an email address has signed up through the form but has NOT clicked the confirmation link, that they can still potentially sign up through the sign up form and receive a “success” message. Upon which they would be sent another opt-in confirmation email. However, if that email address were to click on the confirmation link and be added to the MailChimp list, signing up through the sign up form again would produce a notification that they are already subscribed to the list.
Oops. My bad!
Everything works just fine now. Thank you
One last question though.. how can we change the language of the e-mail we receive when we subscribe?
Thanks
Hey there,
No worries! Glad to hear everything’s working a bit more as expected.
The language of the confirmation emails is actually setup in your MailChimp account. This article from the MailChimp kb walks through setting that up:

If you have any questions specific to those directions, the best bet is to reach out the MailChimp Support Team and they should be able to provide further assistance!
