It worked when everyone else failed…

So I create a large number of online forms that many people rely on at my organization. Everything was good until the notifications from the completed form stopped coming in. I tried to create a workaround – a band-aid of sorts, but that was to no avail. I stumbled upon a few SMTP plugins as an alternative. I tested 3 others before WP Mail SMTP proved to be the best out of the squad. I ran into some minor problems in setting the plugin up – but their support team was extremely helpful and we were able to get those issues resolved promptly. Needless to say, forms are being filled out and notifications are being received and I have WP Mail SMTP to thank for that.
