When one item is added to the cart, it shows as one item. However, when we go to the cart, it suddenly shows two or three items. How is this possible, and how can we resolve this?

    Hi there!

Thanks for explaining the issue in detail. I understand how confusing and concerning this behavior can be.

I’ve checked the issue on your site, and I can confirm that the same product is being added to the cart multiple times.

I can see that you’re using a custom direct link to add the product to the cart. This behavior occurs because the link you’re using contains an add-to-cart parameter, which instructs the site to add the product to the cart each time that specific URL is loaded. As a result, the product may be added more than once.

For testing purposes, could you please replace your current URL with the following one and check if that resolves the issue?

    https://www.janoahboeken.nl/?add-to-cart=3365

If the issue still persists, could you please share your System Status Report? You can find it under WooCommerce → Status.
Please copy and paste the report to either https://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com/ and share the link here.

Once we have this information, we’ll be able to assist you further.

    • Fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

    Hi there!

Thank you for sharing the system status report. I can see that you’re using a Side Cart for WooCommerce plugin, and I suspect this plugin may be causing the issue.

For testing purposes, could you please temporarily deactivate this plugin? After that, go to WooCommerce → Settings → Products and enable the option “Redirect to the cart page after successful addition.”

Please let us know if this resolves the issue for you.

    Hi there!

Thank you for your advice. I have removed that plugin. Items are no longer being added twice to the cart.
It is strange, though, because this plugin worked fine for a long time. Is there a solution for this?

    Hi there!

I’m glad to hear that removing the plugin resolved the issue with items being added twice to the cart.

Since the plugin previously worked fine but is now causing conflicts, the best next step would be to reach out to the plugin’s support team. They can provide guidance or a fix for this specific behavior.

Before you go, If you found WooCommerce helpful in setting up your store, we would really appreciate it if you could leave a five-star review: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/woocommerce/reviews/#new-post. Your feedback helps us improve and lets other users know how WooCommerce can support their business.
