    The “Notification Center” was attacked and I got this error. “Error while sending notification: SMTP Error: Could not authenticate..” Basically, it’s being blocked and I can’t fix it. The hack also turned off the, “Away Mode.” which was set to turn the admin panel off after hours.

    This was either a Json or php attack. How can I fix this?

    That error means that something within SMTP is erroring and not sending email. You will need to reach out to your host and have them look into why your mail is not able to authenticate. The email health check plugin may help to diagnose the issue.
