It’s finally there
-
I have had a love/hate relationship with WooCommerce for about 8 years now. Part of it was because of the WP foundation needed of course, but WC was NOT without blame. For the past – maybe 18 months or so – I’ve seen a rejuvination happening, especially from the WC team and it’s not just the logo refresh ( 😉 ). I would rather say that the logo refresh was for once needed, to signal the maturity of this project.
For far too long we had to struggle with bad speed scores for our webshops and overall bloated inefficient code that made it almost impossible to scale. But I am happy to report that WC should now be the go-to ecommerce solution for anyone out there looking to start up and be in complete control of their own store.
I will say that the woocommerce app store is still ridden with absolute trash developers charging an arm and a leg for bad code, but so is Android and iOS app stores. If you can’t code the solution yourself (or have co-pilot help you out) then you can almost always find a decent plugin for your needs.
As a stand alone ecommerce solution, WooCommerce is the #1 choice for those that actually want to own their shop. Finally!
