We generally don’t recommend Feed Validator as its somewhat outdated. Regardless, it can still be useful at times. I ran your feed thru there and got this warning:
“line 43, column 1: channel contains more than one image (2 occurrences)”

This additional <image> tag in your feed sometimes causes problems with the iTunes Store. This extra tag is almost always caused by your WordPress theme adding a favicon to your site. (Why it also chooses to add the image to RSS feeds is beyond me.) Take a look at your theme settings. Most likely in the Appearance section, there’s a Site Settings area that has a setting for something like Site Image. If you can find the Site Image field, erase whatever URL is in there and save the changes. Leave that field blank going forward and give the feed another try with iTunes.

If you cannot change this in the theme settings, then go into PowerPRess Settings > Feeds tab, check the box to prevent other plugins form modifying your podcast feeds then click save. That should eliminate the RSS image your theme is adding.

Thanks for the quick reply, Shawn, Angelo!
I got rid of the extra image tag, submitted the feed to iTunes – and still, I’m getting “An error was encountered while trying to add your feed.”

Any other issues that might be problematic with the feed?

BTW, I was at the Blubrry presentation in Podcast Movement 2016 – nice to see the people behind the scenes 🙂

I tested your feed on Apple’s podcatsconnect and it passes the validate test.

The Apple ID you submit the podcast under needs to have agreed to Apple’s terms and conditions using the desktop iTunes app. IT may be that your account did not do this step yet. Here are the directions: http://create.blubrry.com/manual/podcast-promotion/submit-podcast-to-itunes/create-apple-id-submitting-podcasts-itunes/. The podcastsconnet site does not provide the best error notices about this stuff.

If you are still having issues, please go to podcastsconnect and navigate to the “Resources and Help” link at the bottom. Then select “Contact Us” at the bottom of the resources and help page.
