I see lots of links to “affilates.10web.io”. This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site. You can then use its admin bar menu to turn on/off plugins and themes one at a time.

@sterndata After changing the theme, the issue persists. Since there is no more plugin of 10Web, not sure where to trace. It came into notice that Query Monitor plugin could help. Installed Query Monitor plugin but unable to figure out how to trace affiliates.10web.io.

Try using the string locator plugin, https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/string-locator/, to search for “10web”.

@sterndata Thanks for the suggestion. Implemented and could locate. However, even after deleting, I still get the “waiting for affilaites.web.io” message. Finally, decided to relaunch with fresh WordPress installation.
