Javascript error on 2.2.2: “Option ‘id’ is not allowed for Select2”

    My website backend is broken and JavaScript is gone because of this error:

    Error: Option 'id' is not allowed for Select2 when attached to a <select> element.

    No one else having this problem?

    It happens on the post/page/cpt/… edit screen.

    I solved it with a rollback to 2.2.1, but you should investigate the reason why, at some time, 2.2.2 was available for update on wp-admin.

    We updated Select2 to it’s latest version.
    By now, even if some Plugin uses an outdated Select2 (WooComerce as example) there should be no conflict, since we now use an own namespace for Select2.

    Please can you check with the new Release from Today? It’s still the same version number but a new package on the Repository.
