JavaScript minify breaks Jetpack Gallery (even with exclusions)

    I’m currently experiencing an issue where enabling the JavaScript minification feature breaks the Jetpack image gallery/carousel. When JS minify is active, the gallery stops functioning properly — images no longer open in the lightbox view.

    To try and resolve it, I excluded the following scripts from minification:

    jquery.js, jquery.min.js, jquery-core.min.js, jquery-migrate.min.js, swiper.min.js, swiper-bundle.min.js, slideshow-block.min.js, jetpack-carousel.js

    Unfortunately, even with these exclusions, the gallery still doesn’t work. The only way to make it function again is by completely disabling JavaScript optimization.

    Is there any workaround or solution you could suggest so I can continue using JS minify without breaking Jetpack’s gallery?

    Does the issue persist when you disable merging of JavaScript files ?

    Hi, sorry for the delay in replying!

    Yes, the issue still persists even when JavaScript merging is disabled.

    The Jetpack gallery still doesn’t work unless I completely turn off JavaScript optimization.

    Sorry its been a while.
    Are you still experiencing this issue? If so, please confirm that the Delay JS feature is disabled at WPO > Minify > JavaScript.

    Let me know if that changes anything.
