    Hello dear Elementor Team,

I’m having an issue with the recent update since a couple of weeks.
I was originally just researching a minor problem, regarding a supposed-to-be-hidden content still showing on mobile devices after switching the language and I ended up on this forum.
Taking regard of the pinned post up above I “made sure to use the latest Elementor version” and that is when everything crashed and burned.

Since the update to the new version, our website doesn’t respond to Custom Javascript anymore.

We used a plugin for the Javascript initially (Custom CSS and Javascript), but also tried implementing the code in other sources too. We temporarily deactivated Custom Javascript and instead tried to implement it in the Javascript Files of the theme, in the Footer, and in the Frontend via a HTML-Box and a <script>, but with no to little success. We’ve had to hide the closing Tag of the Javascript Code in Custom Javascript, because if it remained the content of a page would remain blank once moving to it from another side.

By now we excluded the scripts themselves being faulty, because everything up until that point ran properly and when included in the frontend on a test-page, the scripts still do what they are supposed to – except that when integrated on the Frontend it shoots down another element of the page (Our top slider will be caught in an endless loop of trying to load). It seems we cannot simply fix one problem without it resulting in another.

We tried browsing the web for older Elementor versions and resetting it manually (currently running Version 1.7.6), but that approach didn’t work, especially since we don’t have any records on which version specifically was previously used. We are toying with the idea of trying the “WP_Rollback” Plugin, but since this entire problem was caused by a single update, I’m hesitant to try other plugins or updates and would rather try to fix the issue else if able.

We’ve tried creating a replica of the page to maybe test that plugin on, but we experienced trouble with that, too because the copy would always redirect to the “original” page.

I have no idea of programming or the like and I’m getting more cautious by the day to try for solutions. I’m beginning to run out of ideas I hope that you can help me.

    Kind Regards

Update: omg omg omg, I didn’t believe in it anymore.

But copying the Javascript Code into the Footer along with the Google Analytics Script seems to have worked after all! The cache is updating itself now and one by one the subpages are accepting the Javascript. We’ll wait until tomorrow to see if any bugs remain.

Update: The scripts only work partially now, some of which that had worked yesterday evening do no longer respond anymore now…
