Guys, the typical issue. I tried to create Header / Footer Template using Jeg Elementor Kit. I created the template but still get 404 error when I click “edit”. Sometimes Elementor run normally, but give me 404 error when I tried to save changes in the header / footer template.

I tried all your advices: refreshin permalink – doesn’t work, wp memory is over 128, turn off other plugins – doesn’t work.

I am frustrating, because i bought a template and can’t run the website ๐Ÿ™

    Thank you for your support.

    Hello @ksaler,

We sincerely apologize for our delay in responding and for the inconvenience you have experienced. Regarding the issue of being redirected to 404 Not Found when trying to edit the Header Template, you can try changing the Switch Editor Loader Method option to Enable as shown in the image below.

Sometimes, there are issues with Elementor that stem from the server side. We are not sure of the exact cause, but enabling the Switch Editor Loader Method option usually resolves the issue.

    https://elementor.com/help/server-configuration-conflicts/

Previously, another user faced a similar issue, and they resolved it by changing their server.

For now, this is all we can suggest. We look forward to hearing back from you.

    Thank You

Hello @fauzanjegstudio thank you for your support!

Changing theย Switch Editor Loader Method helps but only partly ๐Ÿ™‚ Now I can edit header / footer but only using the basic widgets -> theese one from the left sidebar: https://imgur.com/kR2PXrT
But when I want to import the template that I created earlier in the Elementor: https://imgur.com/TtshAnB then I recieved an error again: https://imgur.com/q7a1056

Wha t can we do more? I want to emphasize that tempate that I want to imort works fine when I create pages using Elementor outside the Jeg Elementor Kit – U can see the page here: https://lukaszwalczuk.pl and here is the test page: https://lukaszwalczuk.pl/testheadera/ where I added header and footer using Jeg Elementor Kit.

    Hello ลukasz,

Weโ€™re not entirely sure what you mean by “basic widgets”. Are there specific widgets missing? If so, could you let us know which widgets are missing?

Regarding the template that cannot be imported, could you export the template and send it to us? We would also like to know which template you purchased, so we might be able to replicate the issue on our side.

    https://elementor.com/help/template-library/

If possible, could you create a video showing the process of importing the template? This could help us understand the issue better.

We look forward to hearing back from you.

    Thank You

    Best Regards,
    Fauzan, Jegstudio Support.

    Hi,

    I recorded the video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/13lQMYZPOMrjhPC95KAcgP3WuL-cf6IXB/view?usp=sharing

In the first part of video I edit the footer using these “basic widgets” like “header”, “image”, “icon” and so on. Then everything is fine – I changed the word “Footer” to “Stopka”>

In teh second part I tried to import header from the library. I bought it with the template of the website: https://themeforest.net/item/zhack-personal-portfolio-resume-elementor-template-kit/52350328

As you can see on the video I am nbot able to import this template of the header. What is more: at this moment, when I click “edit” Footer in Jeg Elementor Kit then I get the same error. I can do nothing, only delete this header template and create the new one.

    Any ideas? ๐Ÿ™‚

PS. Maybe it’s important – I am using the free version of Elementor!

And here is the link to template that I cannot import. It’s a header template that I booght with Zhack theme: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FAURnxxoQk5fkbn4Ad88JkakwvKLoizU/view?usp=sharing

    Hello @ksaler,

Thank you for the video, file, and all the explanations you provided! ๐Ÿ˜€

We sincerely apologize for our delay in responding. First, when importing a template, you will be presented with a popup message like this.

    Screenshot-2024-12-11-at-15-40-20

In that popup, you can try selecting Don't apply instead of Apply. It would look something like this in English.

    Screenshot-2024-12-11-at-15-57-06

When you select Apply and it causes the issue where the Header/Footer Template cannot be edited, you can resolve it with the PHP code in the link below.

    Pastebin: https://pastebin.com/YLx4CqdG

You can replace the ID in the code with the ID of the Header/Footer Template. In the example, the ID is 87. To find the ID of the Header/Footer Template, first, go to edit the Header/Footer Template. Then, in the URL link, you will see the parameter post, which shows the ID. In the example image below, the ID is 120.

    Screenshot-2024-12-11-at-16-16-42

This issue occurs because the Page Template has changed. The Header/Footer Template only supports the Elementor Canvas Page Template. Actually, you can resolve this by changing the Page Template on the imported Template before you import it again to the Header/Footer Template. To do this, go to the Templates -> Saved Templates menu, select Quick Edit for the desired template, then change the Template option to Elementor Canvas. For more clarity, please refer to the image below.

For now, this is all we can suggest. We look forward to hearing back from you.
