Hi folks,

First I would like to thanks everyone who posted their queries and to the Jetpack plugin author for replying to them. I wanted to share what I did to figure out a solution for it.

After searching for a while, I was able to add a line of code in the .htaccess file and everything was good to go. Jetpack was able to communicate well and access the XMLRPC.php file. Well I also took the care of security here.

Although that solution will work on the short term, I’d recommend against creating a whitelist of IPs. Our IPs change over time, so a day will come when the IPs you’ve used to make Jetpack work won’t be valid anymore.

Instead of blocking access to the XML-RPC file, I’d suggest allowing access, and then only blocking some of the requests with a plugin like this one:
