Could you share a screenshot with the place where you’d like to remove Jetpack and MailChimp from, please? As far as I know, these two plugins appear only on the setup wizard but you can skip that step.

I don’t think that you can remove this step from the wizard. This is a part of the plugin and there’s no option to skip that automatically. At least I didn’t find any way to do that 🙂

I don’t think so. I mean, the wizard is appearing when the plugin is freshly installed and that’s the point where you just downloaded from wp.org so it’s not edited at all. Basically, you’d edit it right after the wizard already was shown 🙂
