I’m not sure what happened, all of a sudden all the options which were selected before on jetpack found to be unselected, like fresh install of the plugin. I found it when I couldn’t see the notification bubble on the top right. Also, the top post and page widget is throwing an error. I have turned on the site stats and other options I was using. But still, I am not able to receive notifications for comments made on my blog. Interestingly, some of the replies to my comments appear on my notification tab. Though I might suspect that it has happened because of the new update, but I found this issue just 3 days ago. So any expert opinion on this issue? How can I bring back my comment notification on to my dashboard top right part?

I don’t see what could have cause this, but I do see that Notifications is currently disabled on your site.

Make sure it’s enabled from the All Modules view: https://jetpack.com/support/control-jetpack-features-on-one-page/

    Thank you @macmanx
I have enabled notifications from the modules. I know you have already mentioned, but can you think of any reason why all the settings got unchecked as if it was reset? I haven’t updating anything in that week. And the only plugin that probably got updated during that time was Jetpack. But I found this issue after a few days of this update. SO I really can’t think of a reason why this would have caused.

    Hi there,

I can’t think of any reason either. The only ways I know to completely reset Jetpack like this is to uninstall and reinstall it, clearing the options from the database manually, or using a plugin to do that.

We also haven’t had any other reports of this, so it appears to be specific to your site. But we’ll keep our eyes open for any similar reports.

I forgot to mention that there is one more error on my site after this incident.

I had the Top Posts and Pages widget on the side bar. THis is now giving an error.
I understand for this to work, site stats is needed. I have activated site stats among other options after I noticed the issue. Though the widget still gives this error.

Make sure that the Extra Sidebar Widgets module is active at https://jetpack.com/support/control-jetpack-features-on-one-page/
