Hello @gahlii,
Thanks for raising this! The short answer is: it’s already happening, but gradually.
Several Jetpack blocks and features have already been rebuilt on the WordPress Interactivity API:
- Jetpack Forms was migrated to the Interactivity API in 2025.
- The Follow Me and Fediverse blocks were also rebuilt on the Interactivity API in 2025.
Work is also ongoing to bring Jetpack Search onto the Interactivity API as part of a larger rebuild effort, though that’s not released yet.
That said, there isn’t a single project to migrate every Jetpack block at once: the work is happening on a block-by-block basis as each feature team iterates. Blocks with minimal frontend interactivity may not need migration.
For the Interactivity Router specifically (client-side navigation between pages): the newer Interactivity API-based blocks are inherently more compatible with this pattern. Compatibility with the router for other Jetpack blocks is not something with a publicly confirmed timeline.
If there’s a specific block or use case causing you trouble with client-side navigation, it would be helpful to share the details – that kind of feedback helps the teams prioritize future work! You can also file a feature request or bug report at github.com/Automattic/jetpack.
Hope that answers your question!
