    How do I fix this? This just happened out of the blue today. There is nothing wrong with my host or my server, everything else is working as it should.

    I disconnected Jetpack because stats weren’t working for the last 24 hours. When I try to reconnect it I get this message.

    Jetpack could not contact WordPress.com: register_http_request_failed. This usually means something is incorrectly configured on your web host.
    Could not resolve host: jetpack.wordpress.com

    Problem was apparently with Google’s public DNS servers and is widespread across multiple regions. Changing the DNS servers on the server fixes the problem.
