Hi @nubiesan, Jetpack Boost helps to optimize how the files load on the site but the plugin isn’t meant as a cleanup tool. What kind of leftover data or files were you hoping Boost could get rid of?

From what I see, your site is also using Speed Optimizer, which is a plugin from Siteground. Could you test turning it off, and see it undoes the code that generates the base64 link?

Hi, I deactivated the plug in and the code is still there. Is having this a problem that slows down the site?

When running the site through GTmetrix, the base64 images showed as elements that were slowing down the site. I ran the site through GTmetrix again, they’re no longer flagged even though I still see some links on the homepage.
That said, the Lazy Load module could add some base64 images, since it’ll get deprecated soon, you can go ahead and turn it off (see guide).
If you still wanted to use a caching plugin, you can try WP Super Cache which is compatible with Boost.
After making changes, you’ll want to refresh Boost to update the performance score.

    Hello @nubiesan

Do you have updates about that? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no activity, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!

The code is still there unless I turn off lazy loading in Jetpack. I’m concerned about what Lighthouse will say.

There is also an option to view Rendered Source when I right click on the page.

I also see a box in the lower left corner with green numbers and CLS. Is this something I want there ? Where is it coming from?

    Hi @nubiesan,

The code is still there unless I turn off lazy loading in Jetpack.

As you might have noticed, Lazy Loading is being deprecated so you can keep it disabled.

There is also an option to view Rendered Source when I right click on the page.

Have you spotted anything relevant when checking the source code? Can you share more about that?

I also see a box in the lower left corner with green numbers and CLS. Is this something I want there ? Where is it coming from?

Could you share a screenshot so we can see what you’re describing? You can create screenshots using something like Snipboard: https://snipboard.io/ or Imgur: https://imgur.com and post the link in a reply here.

If you want to continue privately, you can use this contact form and mention this support thread.

    Thank you!
