Jetpack Install Problem

Hi,

(I’m posting in this forum because i don’t think my problem is with Jetpack as such; rather that the problem with my Site manifests after Jetpack is installed.)

I’ve installed WP (automatically through my webhost) to http://puprocket.com . I’ve set Permalinks to Custom, and pasted the mod_rewrite code for .htaccess, as instructed on-screen. So far so good. When i install Jetpack, it seems to install and activate; however, it never loads any info, and no changes can be made to it. The following message appears:

“Recommended features failed to activate. TypeError: Network Error when attempting to fetch resource.”

Another message appears:
” Warning: stripos() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /www1/dc9/www.puproket.com/web/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 3774 ”

I am perplexed because i’ve successfully installed a WP network, with Jetpack and Aksimet installed and working no problems at all (http://eatdogeat.com), in exactly the same way. However, i can’t seem to repeat the process again.

I’ve been trying to work it out from forums, and have repeated the process many times -each time there’s a problem. (I’ve also been unable to set the site up as a network… ) Something is not quite right with the install /primary settings.
