Jetpack Markdown not available

Hi,

I’ve just installed Jetpack on my new WordPress blog: http://viktorfonic.com

I want to use Markdown to write future blog posts. However, I can’t find “Use markdown for posts and pages” anywhere in the Settings (there’s no mention of markdown in Writing nor in Comments).

I tried googling around, but couldn’t find any related issues/solutions.

Any help would be appreciated.

Could you go to Jetpack > Settings > Writing in your dashboard? You should find the option to enable Markdown there.

It’s not there.

I’m on my phone now, but the contents are the same on desktop.

I’m fairly tech-savy. If needed, I can try to fetch the logs from the server. (Just point me where they are usually located)

Could you go to Jetpack > Settings > Writing (inside the Jetpack menu, not inside the Settings menu) and activate the module? Markdown options will not appear anywhere else on your dashboard until the module is active.

Hey Jeremy,

Thanks, it worked once I activated it from Jetpack settings! I still don’t see the option in Settings => Writing (outside of Jetpack settings). What matters is that it works now.

Perhaps changing here https://jetpack.com/support/markdown/
“go to Settings => Markdown”
into
“go to Jetpack => Settings => Markdown”

would lead to less confusion.
