Jetpack Photon/1.0 404 vs thumbnails

    Photon/1.0 is pinging my site for images that don’t exist any more.
    I tried to block User-agent Photon/1.0 at the .htaccess level.
    Now Jetpack can’t generate new thumbnails.

    Please: what is the best way to generate thumbnails AND make photon stop filling my 404 logs?
