We’re trying to connect Jetpack Sharing, but it’s being blocked. We had already talked with Jetpack support and narrowed it down to the Shield Security plugin, if we deactivate that it works. When Jetpack tries to connect to the site it’s getting blocked, they gave us this link where we can test and see the result of their attempts to connect:

    https://public-api.wordpress.com/rest/v1/sites/www.spiritualityandhealthconnect.com

So we get an inaccessible message while Shield Security is active, but it shows a proper connection if we disable it. Is there some setting we need to adjust to allow Jetpack to connect properly?

It appears you’re blocking API access. Turn this off in the lockdown module.

The Disable The Anonymous Rest API System option isn’t turned on, the on/off switch is gray.

Have you reviewed the audit trail for pertinent records at time of the block?

Just checked that, it’s listing this when I test having it connect:

11:00 June 19, 2018 transgression counter started Auto Black List transgression counter was started for visitor. unidentified 192.0.118.15

And no other entry before that? Try disabling a module at a time until it works, then do the same until you can narrow down the particular option that blocking it.

Ok, after narrowing it down to the Lockdown module, I went through and tested options and apparently it was the “Disable The XML-RPC System” one that was blocking it.
