If I’m not mistaking there also has been a JetPack update, but even an update of yet another plugin might be causing this.
As per the troubleshooting-part of the the FAQ; try different settings, check your browser’s error console for JS errors (jquery not defined, maybe) and adapt settings (esp. exclusions) accordingly.
If you can give me the URL of a site where I can see this happening, I’ll be happy to have a quick look to help troubleshooting.
hope this helps,
frank
It may be Jetpack indeed. I tested it on my other website without Jetpack and there is no that conflict.
The website page where I use gallery is https://magenable.com.au/news/nora-ecommerce-expedition-redbubble-adore-beauty/
AO is disabled now, so they displayed OK.
If I enable it, instead of images I see just grey box with “This slideshow requires JavaScript” text above.
so what does the browser error console say when AO JS optimization is active?
(I see you have WPFC JS optimization active as well, I would advice against having multiple JS/ CSS optimizers running simultaneously)

A kind of mystery – I’ve turned AO back and it seems to work now.
I feel like an idiot, but seriously before that I tried to activate and deactivate it as well as other plugins (including WPFC).
Anyway it works now, which is good.
Thanks for your quick replies Frank and again appreciate your work with this plug-in.
Regards
Alex
all’s well that ends well 🙂
keep on having fun (doing sites about magento in wordpress seems fun enough 😉 )

I’ve confirmed compatibility and left review.
With all my respect to Magento as an eCommerce platform, it isn’t good solution for content website, especially with blog component.
The right tool for the right job 🙂
