• Hello,

I am using Jetpack comments on my site and it works great for the most part. But recently it came to my attention that if someone logs in with social media via the social buttons below the comment form and presses submit, the comment never goes through the page just keeps saying ‘sumbitting’.

    Site: mrsfancee.com

Any advice on how to correct this issue?

    Hello!

I just left a test comment on your Killz review post and I didn’t have any issues or problems with the comment being posted using Twitter. As I noted in my comment – please delete the comment at your earliest convenience. 🙂

For the user or users that are having trouble, did they let you know what browser or operating system they were using? Once I have that information, I’ll be happy to troubleshoot further. If not, I can’t seem to replicate the problem – so it may be due to the user’s browser and if they’re using any script blocking or over aggressive antispam/malware programs that may block the comment form iframe that’s served from our servers on WordPress.com.

Let me know if you still have this problem and I’ll be happy to take a closer look.

    Hi Carolyn,

I see that your comment did work, that is good! I went ahead and logged out of admin mode and attempted to comment using the facebook connect button, but after connecting with facebook and pressing the submit button under the comment box, it still stalled out and kept showing ‘submitting’. I am using google chrome.

I really appreciate you looking into this, thanks a lot!

I just commented again on the same post using Facebook and it worked for me using Chrome (v. 35.0.1916.114) on OSX.

I would recommend trying a different browser (like Firefox) or different computer and see if you still have the same problem. Alternatively, you can try turning off all your Chrome browser extensions and trying again. I’m not seeing any errors in the form and I seem to be able to comment without any errors – so the problem seems to be pointing to your specific browser or computer configuration.

Let me know if you have any questions.
