Paid for a year subscription, when trying to use says my key is already used “This license is already active on your site”, and gives me errors every time I want to add a network to social.

I’ve been dealing with this for two days, sent to other forums, asked to buy domains and move to wordpress hosting, but no real help, just automated crap.

Hey @8bittees – I checked your site and found the Jetpack connection for the site is not good and that’s the reason Jetpack is not working properly on your site and you are not able to add social media to Jetpack Social.

Let’s see why the Jetpack connection issue is there:

While your site is publicly accessible, we cannot access your site’s XML-RPC file: https://www.example.com/xmlrpc.php [replace “example.com” with your site address, currently your site is not loading for this URL and shows the white blank page to us]

This file is used by Jetpack and other plugins and apps to connect to your site. It must return the following message: XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only, and this is the reason the Jetpack connection is not good!

You can see a working example here: https://wp.cloud/xmlrpc.php

If you want to know details about XML-RPC and how it helps Jetpack, you can check our detailed guide here:

Since your site doesn’t load for this page, I would recommend that you check the following:

    • Do you use any security plugins that may block access to this file? If so, could you try to disable them? You might also want to check your site’s .htaccess file for any rules that might be blocking access to the xmlrpc.php file.
    • Does your hosting provider block access to this file? If you don’t find any plugin that may block access to the file on your site, I would recommend that you get in touch with your host.

Once you are able to access your site’s XML-RPC file, please try to disconnect and reconnect your site:

And then try to connect social media platform to Jetpack again.

Let me know how it goes!

On a side note, I see you are a paid Jetpack user so for a more priority response from us, you may also contact us through contact form from here.

My recently paid for Jetpack social. I see it connected to my website, but when I click to connect it to social accounts, it gives me a message to do manual sharing. All the social media accounts I created in the free version had disappeared. Also, I am not seeing all my subscribers, only previous ones.

Also, when I click the Newsletter button to send email to subscribers, I get the following error message – “The editor has encountered an unexpected error.
