Jetpack Statistics Plugin Alternative

I have been a long time fan of Jetpack plugin and it worked fine but after not getting traffic or anything I became concerned and one of my hard-core wordpress co-workers told me to try other statistics plugins as sometimes plugins like stats can malfunction or not have anything show up. Can anyone here suggest a great stats plugins to see which country, city, state etc registers on my stats plugin? A good alternative is needed so what do you suggest? No more Jetpack, I am done. If you have an alternative to to Google analytics plugin too. Help me out here. I need to know what will detect or direct my wordpress blog. Using the latest wordpress version by the way. I’m always up-to-date where my blogs are concerned, latest versions, etc. Please assist.
