/jetpack-temp Directory still generating files when plugin not present

    This weird and has me totally confused. I cannot locate where the plugin is installed (it doesn’t show up in the /wp-content/plugins/ directory nor does it show in the Admin portal itself) yet there is a /jetpack-temp/ directory on our server with several GB of jp-helper-xxxxxxx.php files (43,000+ files) that aren’t getting automatically deleted and are still being created daily, even though today. The directory DOES have proper read/write permissions, too, so I can’t figure out why it is doing this.
