Jetpack update issues error messages
-
After updating Jetpack, the update completed page said there is something wrong in wp-includes/plugin.php
“Strict Standards: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, non-static method WPAlchemy_MetaBox::_global_head() should not be called statically in …/blog.baeecorp.org/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 496”
Then it repeated similar messages for several lines in another plugin. I’m guessing the wp-includes/plugin.php problem triggered those.

Try Jetpack’s designated support sub-forum: http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/jetpack
If you are getting this on many plugins, what version of PHP is running on your server?
PHP 5.4.36
Can you try deleting JetPack from your server files manually?
OK. I’ve done a manual delete of Jetpack. Now what?
Are you still getting the warnings?
No.
Now that I’ve manually deleted it, can it be reinstalled safely now? I see several other people are having problems with this update in this forum and in the Jetpack forum. Will installing the latest release work or should I wait for another update?
Yes, try it. And please do not post in other people’s threads – if you need additional help from JetPack support, you must start your own thread there – they do not help multiple people in the same thread.
I tried a manual reinstall and got a Fatal Error when I tried to activate the plugin. I’ve reported it in the Jetpack forum.
This problem is not resolved but I’m moving over to the Jetpack forum to work on the problem there.
Great, they’ll be happy to help you – moved to:
